New Zealand gives NZ$7m in humanitarian aid to Ethiopia and Somalia for food insecurity and urgent needs.
New Zealand is providing NZ$7 million in humanitarian aid to support communities facing food insecurity and other urgent needs in Ethiopia and Somalia. Over 21 million people require humanitarian assistance in Ethiopia, and 6.9 million in Somalia. The aid will be distributed through partnerships with the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United Nations' Ethiopia Humanitarian Fund, and New Zealand NGOs under the New Zealand Disaster Response Partnership.
