Moolec Science SA's genetically engineered soybean, Piggy Sooy™, receives USDA approval.
Moolec Science SA, a molecular farming company, became the first to gain USDA approval for its genetically engineered soybean, Piggy Sooy™. This soybean variety accumulates animal meat protein and is deemed unlikely to pose an increased plant pest risk. Consequently, it is not subject to the APHIS regulation that governs the movement of organisms modified or produced through genetic engineering.
