Mauritius closed its stock exchange, banks and offices on Monday due to severe flooding caused by heavy rains over the weekend. The government advised non-essential employees to work from home. This comes after cyclone Belal disrupted power and water supplies in January. The excessive rainfall tripled the average levels from earlier in the month, according to Mauritius' meteorological services.
