Ireland's Court of Appeal will base decision on written submissions for Ammi Burke's appeal against her unfair dismissal claim at law firm Arthur Cox, rejecting her request for the President to recuse himself.
The Court of Appeal in Ireland has decided to base its decision on written submissions for solicitor Ammi Burke's appeal against the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC), regarding her unfair dismissal claim from law firm Arthur Cox. The judges rejected her request for President of the Court of Appeal, Mr. Justice George Birmingham, to recuse himself from hearing her appeal, stating that her sworn statement did not approach the threshold to require or justify a recusal. A written decision on Burke's appeal will be given at a later point.
