Despite drawing 0-0 with hosts Qatar in their final group match, Australia's chances of competing in the Olympic Games were dashed when Indonesia beat Jordan 4-1. The Olyroos finished the tournament without a goal, having drawn 0-0 with Jordan and lost 1-0 to Indonesia.
