The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has not certified the government's Climate Active Carbon Neutral scheme, used by over 500 companies, due to unclear rules. The ACCC is monitoring the government's review of the scheme, which allows companies to pay for a label if they measure, reduce, offset and publicly report on their emissions. Green Senator Sarah Hanson-Young is calling for stronger laws to prevent greenwashing.
