On 19 April, unknown gunmen killed Professor Yinka Olomojobi, a law professor at Babcock University in Ilishan, Ogun State, after he resisted being kidnapped. Two residents were also abducted in the Iperu area. The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident and disclosed that two individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.
