Former NFL MVP and NC State quarterback Roman Gabriel, known for his big arm and size, passed away at the age of 83. Gabriel was the first Filipino-American player in NFL history and was named MVP in 1969 with the Los Angeles Rams, where he threw for 2,549 yards and 24 touchdowns. Gabriel's 11-year career with the Rams saw him throw for 22,223 yards and 154 touchdowns, leaving him as the franchise's career leader.
