75-year-old soap opera actress and writer Meg Bennett, known for her roles in "The Young and the Restless" and "General Hospital", passed away on April 11 following a battle with cancer. Bennett, who also starred in "Santa Barbara" and "Search for Tomorrow", earned an Emmy for her writing work on "General Hospital" in 1995. She is survived by her husband, "Sunset Beach" co-creator.
