Vedanta faces a Rs 3.48 crore penalty for tax evasion related to input tax credit claims during FY 2018-19 to FY 2019-20. The mining company received a notice from the Office of the Additional Commissioner, GST & Central Excise Commissionerate, Rourkela. Vedanta plans to file an appeal against the order, stating that it does not expect the penalty to impact the company financially.
