16 passengers and a driver escape unharmed after their express bus catches fire at KM 242.3 on the North-South Expressway (NSE) in Ipoh, Malaysia. The fire and rescue department deployed firefighters and machinery from Kuala Kangsar and Meru Raya stations, who managed to control the blaze by 12.51am. The bus was estimated to be 80% damaged. The passengers were safely transferred to another bus.
