Norfolk County Councillor Adam Veri appointed to Norfolk Police Services Board due to Community Policing and Safety Act.
Norfolk County Councillor Adam Veri has been appointed to the Norfolk Police Services Board following the introduction of the Community Policing and Safety Act. The Act creates a new framework for civilian input into the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) through detachment-based police services boards. Veri joins Chair Kim Huffman, Vice Chair Linda Vandenriessche, and civilian appointee Michael Cruse. The board now has three members appointed by Norfolk County Council and only one provincial appointee, which will be announced later.
