In March 2024, China's major electricity production enterprises experienced a 2.8% year-on-year increase in power generation, according to official data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Total power output reached 747.7 billion kilowatt-hours, with solar and wind power output rising 15.8% and 16.8% respectively. Thermal and hydropower also saw growth, with a 0.5% and 3.1% increase.
