They were fined $2200, lost firearms, ammunition, thermal optics, spotlights, and had their deer heads destroyed. They received 12-month good behaviour bonds or community corrections orders, and 3 had firearms licenses suspended. Hunting deer at night on public land is illegal across Australia.
