Former baseball player Gary Cooper, who played 42 days for the Atlanta Braves in 1980, is seeking to join the team for one day to qualify for a baseball pension. Cooper was one day short of the 43-day requirement. After making appeals to MLB and MLB Players Association committees, he turned to a Change.org petition started by friend Robert Jonas, which garnered over 10,800 signatures.
