In Game 1 of their first-round playoff series, the Boston Bruins defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-1, with rookie goaltender Jeremy Swayman making 35 saves and Jake DeBrusk scoring two power-play goals. The Bruins swept the season series 4-0-0 against the Maple Leafs. Game 2 of the best-of-seven series will take place on Monday at TD Garden.
