15-19 April 2024: Multiple organizations held a training in Mombasa, Kenya, on enhancing cross-border risk communication and community engagement for coordinated emergency preparedness in East Africa.
Africa CDC, UNICEF, IFRC, & WHO, along with IOM, READY, and UK-PHRST, held a training from 15-19 April 2024 in Mombasa, Kenya. This simulation-based event aims to enhance cross-border Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) for coordinated emergency preparedness and response in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. The region faces frequent emergencies, including public health outbreaks like Ebola, Marburg, cholera, and yellow fever.
