Ballarat's new French patisserie, La Miette, opened in Golden Point on 18 April, fulfilling owner Jactina Hogan's dream after selling her pastries, cakes, and macarons at other cafes since 2019. The shop located between The Mecure and Best Western hotels received significant support on the first day. The wholesale side of her business, Edible Indulgence, was previously run from Hogan's Golden Point home.
