52-year-old Jay Scott was sentenced to 30 years in prison for carjacking a mother and her 4-year-old son at knifepoint outside Fox River Mall in Grand Chute. The woman and her son escaped when the car stopped at a red light. Scott pleaded guilty to carjacking with possession of a weapon, theft of moveable property, and felony bail jumping. The other charges, including forceful abduction of a child, kidnapping, and armed robbery, were dismissed.
