A trapped baby orca in a lagoon off Vancouver Island has started feeding on seal meat thrown by locals, delaying a rescue mission. Researchers and locals have been collaborating to try and reunite the orphaned calf with its family. The calf was stranded in the lagoon after its mother died there. Efforts continue to ensure the young orca's survival and reunion with its family.
