TISS suspended PhD student Ramadas Prinisivanandan for two years for participating in anti-national activities.
Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) suspended a PhD student, Ramadas Prinisivanandan, for two years for participating in anti-national activities, including protests and screening banned documentaries. The student, who is pursuing a doctorate in Development Studies, has been barred from entering any TISS campuses. The institute accused Prinisivanandan of misusing its name and engaging in unlawful activities under the guise of freedom of speech and expression. The student plans to appeal the suspension and has been supported by the Progressive Student Forum, a left-leaning student body he is associated with.
