Saudi Arabia is investing $1 trillion in tourism, with a focus on developing AlUla, an ancient oasis town the size of New Jersey. The area will feature resorts, shops, restaurants, and archaeological excavations of tombs dating back to the first century BC. The Royal Commission for AlUla aims to make it a luxury tourist destination for "luxe seekers, wanderlust nomads, intrepid voyagers and silver foxes."
