Raipur's trial court accepts closure report, exonerating Aman Singh, ex-Chhattisgarh secretary, from unaccounted wealth claims.
Raipur's trial court has accepted the closure report filed by the Economic Offences Wing-Anti-Corruption Bureau (EOW-ACB) against Aman Singh, former Principal Secretary to Chhattisgarh's ex-Chief Minister Raman Singh. The EOW-ACB found no evidence to support claims that the couple had amassed unaccounted wealth. The case had been filed against the couple in 2018 by RTI activist Uchit Sharma, and although the FIR was initially revived by the Supreme Court, the Bilaspur High Court later quashed it. Critics have accused former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel's regime of weaponizing the FIR for political retribution.
