Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announces $85M Child Care Access Grant program to improve child care access across the state. The new grant program aims to increase capacity by creating new programs or expanding existing ones, provide additional training to staff and families to support children with special needs, and ensure working families have access to quality early care and education. Applications are open for five different grant types, including New Center Start-Up Grants up to $500,000, Program Repairs Grants up to $100,000, Increase Capacity for Children with Special Needs Grants up to $100,000, Program Expansion Grants up to $50,000, and Family Child Care Grants up to $25,000.
