Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and First Exploration and Petroleum Development Company Limited (First E&P) have started oil production from the Madu Field, an oil mining lease offshore Bayelsa State, Nigeria. The field is expected to produce an average of 20,000 barrels per day, contributing to meeting production targets and boosting Nigeria's economy. The Madu Field will process its oil at the joint venture's Abigail-Joseph Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) unit, capable of storing up to 800,000 barrels of crude oil.
