NHS mental health trust Tees Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust has been fined £200,000 after two teenagers took their own lives while under its care. Christie Harnett, 17, and a young mother (identified as Patient X) both died due to inadequate care provided by the hospital trust. The trust admitted in court that it failed in its duty to ensure safe care and treatment for the patients.
