855-meter emergency exit tunnel completed for Sikkim's Sivok-Rangpo Rail Project.

The Sivok-Rangpo Rail Project, planned to connect Sikkim to the railway network for the first time, has made progress with the completion of an 855-meter-long emergency exit tunnel. The tunnel includes a 20-meter section under National Highway-10, using the secant-piling method to avoid deformation. The project targets August 2025 completion and aims to boost tourism and economic growth in Sikkim.
