Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed a bill that temporarily lifts the state's statute of limitations to allow victims of sexual abuse to receive full compensation from the national bankruptcy settlement with the Boy Scouts of America. This legislation applies only to the Boy Scouts' bankruptcy and will enable hundreds of abuse survivors in Iowa to receive their full compensation, rather than the 30% to 45% they initially would have been entitled to.
