Japanese automaker Honda plans to invest $808m in its Itirapina plant in Brazil by 2030, with a focus on new technologies and developing a hybrid-flex vehicle capable of running 100% on ethanol. This is the latest in a series of automaker investments in Brazil, including Volkswagen, General Motors, Stellantis, and Toyota. Honda aims to increase production at the plant from 100,000 vehicles per year to 150,000 by 2030.
