Grand Rapids' Brewery Nyx, Michigan's first gluten-free brewery, is permanently closing after four years in business. Owner Jessica Stricklen, who moved from Portland and had seen the success of gluten-free breweries in the west, announced the closure on April 19 due to "unexpected and unfortunate" events. Brewery Nyx opened its taproom in July 2022 and began brewing beer a few years ago.
