France requires food retailers to clearly display shrinkflation warnings starting July 1.

France is combating shrinkflation by requiring every food retailer to clearly display warnings for products that have been reduced in size without a corresponding price cut, starting from July 1. Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire called shrinkflation a "scam" and emphasized the importance of transparency. Under the new rule, stores will have to display the price per unit and any changes in quantity for two months after product alterations.
