India's top 3 IT companies, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, and Wipro, experienced a record exit of 64,000 employees in FY23-24 due to weak global demand and tighter tech spending by clients. Wipro's headcount fell to 2,34,054 from 2,58,570 in the previous year, with a decline of 24,516. TCS, the largest Indian IT firm, also reported a 13,249 headcount reduction in FY24, the first decline in 19 years.
