Danish firm Topsoe to build a $400M SOEC production facility in Virginia with $136M Inflation Reduction Act tax credits, creating at least 150 direct jobs.

Danish carbon emission reduction tech company Topsoe plans to build a $400M manufacturing facility in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The facility, aided by $136M in tax credits from the Inflation Reduction Act, will produce Solid Oxide Electrolyzer Cells (SOEC) for clean hydrogen production, avoiding up to 2M tonnes of CO2e annually. The project is expected to create at least 150 direct jobs and over 1,000 indirect jobs.
