Corporal Andrew Michaud, a breacher with Emergency Response Team, expected to die along with at least two other officers during a hostage situation in British Columbia, as they charged into a bedroom with a strip charge, knowing a suicidal hostage-taker with a gun was waiting to kill his girlfriend and them. Michaud is responsible for getting fellow ERT police into places using lockpickers, chainsaws, and explosives.
