Alstom sells North American conventional rail signalling business to Knorr-Bremse AG for €630M ($671M).
French train manufacturer Alstom has agreed to sell its North American conventional rail signalling business to German rail systems manufacturer Knorr-Bremse AG for approximately €630 million ($671 million). The deal is expected to close in summer, subject to regulatory approval, and will contribute to Alstom's plan to reduce its debt by €2 billion. Alstom intends to continue serving the North American signalling market in other segments after the sale.
