16-year-old on trial for hammer attack on students and teacher at Blundell's School, Devon, claiming sleepwalking.
A teenager, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, is on trial accused of attacking two fellow students and a teacher with a hammer in their dormitory at Blundell's School in Tiverton, Devon. The 16-year-old, now 17, allegedly assaulted the two boys and the housemaster, causing life-threatening injuries to all three victims, while they were asleep. The defendant claims he was sleepwalking at the time of the attacks.
