A primary school teacher, Fiona Beal, 50, admitted to killing her boyfriend Nicholas Billingham, 42, in Northampton, and pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Beal buried Billingham's body, which was found four and a half months after he was last seen. Beal denies she murdered Billingham in 2021 but admits to the lesser offence of manslaughter. She faces trial with her defense based on a so-called partial defense to murder.
