41-year-old Kevin Oneal Carroll was indicted by a Catawba County Grand Jury for death by distribution in the death of Mariah Brown, whose cause of death was fentanyl toxicity. Carroll was arrested and charged with felony death by distribution, selling schedule II controlled substances, and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of selling controlled substances. He is being held without bond in the Catawba County Detention Facility.
