Durham, NC - Josh 'Rowdy' Rowsey, a prominent young hip-hop artist and UNC-Chapel Hill educator, has died at the age of 32. Rowdy, a changemaker in the Durham music scene, impacted young artists and musicians from the Triangle and beyond. He passed away suddenly from a heart attack. Rowsey held positions as a U.S. Hip-Hop ambassador through the U.S. Department of State and the Next Level Hip-Hop program.
