47-year-old Colombian national Pedro Jose Silva Ochoa, known as "Tata," was extradited from Chile to Miami to face charges related to the kidnapping and assault of two U.S. Army soldiers in Bogota, Colombia. Silva Ochoa and his accomplices allegedly targeted and kidnapped the soldiers with the intention of robbing them. The victims were drugged, robbed of their valuables, and left unconscious until the next day. Silva Ochoa is facing charges including kidnapping an internationally protected person, conspiracy to kidnap, and assault.
