21-year-old Alabama man, Devaris L. Howard, has been sentenced to over 3 years in prison for a sextortion scheme involving a 19-year-old University of Kansas student. Between August and October 2022, Howard threatened to share nude images and videos of the woman if she didn't comply with his demands. He was sentenced to 41 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections and 36 months of post-release supervision.
