A man was fatally shot by a Whitehall police officer, after the officers responded to gunfire at 2 a.m. during an unrelated traffic stop. They found a Honda Pilot with two Hispanic men and a handgun. Despite clear commands in English and Spanish, one man did not comply, leading to the officer's fatal shot. The driver is in custody, and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation will handle the case, using an interpreter. The incident was recorded on body camera.
