The US House Financial Services Committee passed a Republican resolution.

The US House Financial Services Committee voted to pass Republican-led Congressional Review Act resolutions, including one led by Rep. Andy Barr that would block a cap on credit card late fees, proposed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). The move reflects an increase in Republican efforts to overturn Biden administration financial policies, but the resolutions are unlikely to become law as Republicans lack the votes to override a veto from President Biden.
