The UK's newest generation of battle tanks, the Challenger 3, is set to be "imperative" in a more dangerous world, according to Defence Secretary Grant Shapps. The first of eight prototypes rolled off the production line in Telford, with the British Army set to receive 148 tanks. Boasting advanced armour and devastating firepower, the Challenger 3 is the most lethal and survivable tank ever operated by the British Army.
