12,000+ speeding tickets issued to drivers in Kansas for traveling at 100 mph or greater in the past four years, prompting legislative consideration to make such actions a crime. Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Ben Gardner announced the figure on April 18th. In February, KHP Lt. Roy Wise requested legislation to make 100+ mph speeds a crime, and Senate Bill 476 was introduced to address the issue.
