South Korea's beef cattle population declined 3.9% in Q1, due to lower beef prices, according to statistical office data. Beef cattle count fell to 3,491,000 in January-March quarter, while milk cows saw a 0.7% drop to 382,000, and pigs decreased 1.1% to 10,994,000. In contrast, layer and broiler chicken numbers rose by single-digit percentages, and ducks increased by 25.4% to 6,049,000.
