Minister for Regional Development Shane Jones opened LeaderBrand's 11-hectare mega greenhouse project in Tairāwhiti on 19 April 2024. Funded by a Provincial Growth Fund loan, the project aims to grow crops year-round sustainably, reduce weather impacts, and protect soil structure. This supports Tairāwhiti's $62.5m horticulture and fruit industry, providing job security.
