RBI imposes monetary penalties on five cooperative banks .
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed monetary penalties on five cooperative banks for breaching regulations. The banks are Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank, Rajdhani Nagar Sahkari Bank, Zila Sahakari Bank, The Kangra Co-operative Bank, and District Co-operative Bank. The penalties range from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 43.30 lakh, issued for non-compliance with RBI directions and deficiencies in regulatory compliance.
