3 Northern California police officers, James Fisher, Cameron Leahy, and Eric McKinley, have been charged with involuntary manslaughter for the 2021 death of Mario Gonzalez, who was pinned facedown during an arrest. The charges were announced by Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price, reversing a previous decision by a different district attorney who cleared the officers of wrongdoing. The statute of limitations was set to expire before charges were filed.
