The NBS reports that average retail prices of petrol in Nigeria increased by 163.65% year-over-year, from N246.29 in March 2023 to N696.79 in March 2024. Taraba state had the highest average price at N761.92 per litre, while Lagos, Oyo, and Ogun experienced the lowest at N630.75, N645.88, and N651.25, respectively. The North-East zone recorded the highest average retail price, while the South-West zone had the lowest.
